Laser-Tec was started in 1989 by Dick Schuller and his son Eric. Dick was a science teacher and an electrician. He was genius at repairing radios, TV’s and practically any other electric and electronic device. He developed a passion for computers and decided to open Laser-Tec when he saw an opportunity to enter the relatively new arena of laser printer service and toner cartridges remanufacturing.
Dick’s son, Eric, became a whiz at working on computers and printers and the two worked together for several years until Eric took a job at ISU working with computers and networks. Dick's son in law , Steve, joined the company in 1994 and eventually took over the business in 2002. He has been running the business ever since. In 2009, Laser-Tec expanded by acquiring Laser Impact
